#1 Cochran Subaru of Butler Takes Part in “Butler Carved In Ice” Festival

While most of Pittsburgh enjoyed a warm weekend, it was pretty icy in Butler!

#1 Cochran Subaru of Butler County took part in the city’s first-ever “Butler Carved in Ice” Festival this weekend. This wintry event took place in Diamond Park. There were artists—armed with chainsaws and picks—who sculpted the icy art pieces while onlookers watched.

In true Subaru fashion, we had one of the artists carve an ice sculpture of a Subaru Forester for us.

Not everyone was left out in the cold. Those looking for something warmer had the opportunity to take part in a chili cook-off between local restaurants. The People’s Choice Chili Award went to “the Lyndora Hotel.”

It’s estimated that 9,000 people attended. All of the proceeds will go to the Butler A.M. Rotary charities. The club also sponsored the event.

If you wanted to check out the ice Forester, there’s still time! They will remain on display in Diamond Park until the end of winter or… when they melt.
