#1 Cochran Joins Children’s Hospital to Build Safer Communities
June 12, 2012, Pittsburgh, PA – #1 Cochran announced today that it has donated a 2012 Kia Sedona to the Children’s Hospital Injury Prevention Program. #1 Cochran President and CEO Rob Cochran presented the keys to Injury Prevention Program Manager Chris Vitale and her team at the Monroeville MegaCenter. The vehicle will play a key role in the program as Children’s employees drive it to various functions throughout our region providing injury prevention education and advocating for safer communities.
“The message Children’s Injury Prevention Program brings to the community is invaluable. Injury prevention among children is a topic that cannot be ignored, and we feel honored to be a part of bringing awareness to the community,” said Rob Cochran.
Hard Head Patrol is one of the many programs for which the minivan will be used. Children’s employees and medical staff will patrol local neighborhoods in the Sedona this summer raising awareness about helmet safety. If Hard Head Patrol witnesses a child riding anything with wheels without a helmet, they will give the child a coupon for a free helmet and fitting. #1 Cochran Hyundai of South Hills will host a helmet fitting on Thursday, August 9th.
