#1 Cochran Service Technician Adds “GM World Class” to His Name
Pittsburgh PA – May 10, 2010 – #1 Cochran is helping to exceed customer expectations in the service department as they announce they have a new GM World Class Technician, Brian Matter.
A #1 Cochran service professional for 16 years, Mr. Matter is one of only 24 technicians across the country to achieve World Class status this year. Of the 60,000 service technicians nationwide, there are only 1,571 World Class Technicians.
GM Goodwrench service technicians complete extensive GM training to earn the status of Mr. Goodwrench, “the one and only GM expert.” To receive the World Class designation, some GM technicians, like Mr. Matter, take over 450 hours of extra training to reach an even higher level of expertise.
“It takes a lot of commitment and hard work to earn the World Class distinction,” says Jeff San Rocco, #1 Cochran’s Director of Fixed Operations. “Brian has completed countless training hours and has earned Master Technician and ASE certifications in various vehicle specialty areas along the way.”
A GM service technician can earn World Class status in the mechanical and/or body areas. “Once achieved, the technician positions themselves as one of the most knowledgeable in their field and serves as a role model for all GM Goodwrench technicians,” says Mike Durkin, Director, GM Dealer Service and Warranty Operations.
Mr. Matter lives in Lower Burrell with his wife, Colleen, and children, Travis, 12, and Hayley, 10. #1 Cochran is proud to acknowledge Mr. Matter as a GM World Class Technician and his commitment to provide superior service to all GM vehicle customers through the expertise achieved through GM training and technology.
