Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat, & Ram Receive J.D. Power APEAL Awards
According to J.D. Power’s 2013 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study™, Chrysler Group, LLC scored very high and had several of its vehicle brands represented.
The 2013 Dodge Charger ranked highest among the Large Car segment for the third consecutive year, while the 2013 Chrysler 300 (another model from Chrysler Group, LLC) took the third spot in this category.
The 2013 Fiat 500 led the City Car segment with the “small car that lives big.” Chrysler formed an alliance with Fiat S.p.A. in 2009.
The RAM Truck brand was also the highest ranked non-premium brand in the entire APEAL Study.
Doug Betts, Senior Vice President – Quality, Chrysler Group, LLC said, “A vehicle’s subjective appeal is what really sets it apart from the competition and strengthens a customer’s willingness to recommend their car or truck. We are constantly investing in product upgrades to improve all aspects of quality and customer satisfaction.”
According to J.D. Power, the APEAL Study measures how gratifying a new vehicle is to own and drive, based on customer evaluations covering 77 different vehicle attributes. Customers are surveyed after 90-days of vehicle ownership. J.D. Power says that the “most appealing” vehicles will have greater owner loyalty, command higher transaction prices, and spend less time on car dealer lots before making a purchase.
