#1 Cochran Subaru Helps Raise $10,000 for Make-A-Wish

April 23, 2012, Pittsburgh, PA – #1 Cochran Subaru participated in Subaru of America’s 2011 “Share the Love” event, raising money for charities including Make-A-Wish, the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®), Meals On Wheels Association of America, American Forests and Special Olympics.

Customers who purchased or leased a new vehicle between November 19, 2011 and January 3, 2012 were given the opportunity to designate one of the five charities as a recipient of a $250 donation from Subaru.

Based on customers’ charitable elections, #1 Cochran was among the top 10 fundraising dealerships in the country for Make-A-Wish Foundation. More than 600 dealerships nationwide participated in the program.

On Thursday, April 26th, #1 Cochran’s President and CEO, Rob Cochran will present a check for $10,204.16 to Make-A-Wish CEO, Judith Stone. The 10 a.m. presentation will take place in #1 Cochran Subaru’s showroom at the Monroeville MegaCenter.

“We’re honored our customers and team members helped make this event a huge success. We look forward to next year’s event and hope we can make meaningful contributions to all of the worthwhile organizations that take part in the program,” said Rob Cochran, #1 Cochran’s President and CEO.

#1 Cochran Subaru’s participation in the “Share the Love” event also included a December partnership with Mollie’s Meals, delivering meals to seniors and homebound adults, using Subaru vehicles.

Subaru of America has donated nearly $20 million to charitable causes since “Share the Love’s” inception four years ago.
