“Team Cochran” Participates in the March of Dimes – March for Babies
On a glorious Sunday morning, “Team Cochran” pulled together in support of another great charitable cause – the March of Dimes – March for Babies. A total of forty #1 Cochran Team Members, family and friends congregated for pre-walk festivities on Art Rooney Avenue right outside of Heinz Field. The 3.5 mile walk commenced promptly at 9:00 am with thousands of walkers taking to the streets of Pittsburgh.
The scenic walk route meandered through Pittsburgh’s north side before returning to Heinz Field via the north shore walkway, with all of its spectacular views. This annual, family-friendly event brings businesses and the community together to raise money to support research, services, education and advocacy in the fight against prematurity, birth defects and infant mortality.
Team Cochran raised nearly $3,000 for the March of Dimes mission. This total was boosted by an internal 50/50 raffle which was won by Monroeville Subaru Greeter, Beth Fabyanic, who won a cool $1,128. Also, the Management Company Team (Accounting, HR, Titles, and Brand Teams) contributed $440 in proceeds from the first quarter 2015 Blue Jean Fridays.
Following the walk, Team Cochran enjoyed a post-walk brunch on the north shore at the Rivertowne Bar & Grille.
Special thanks to all Team Members, friends and family who participated in the March for Babies on Sunday, April 26. #1 Cochran would also like to thank those who supported our walkers with a financial pledge. Finally, some words of special thanks -– to Cindy Resavy for once again serving as the Cochran Walk Team Chair, to Melissa Peddicord for chairing the 50/50 raffle, to all of the internal volunteers who sold 50/50 raffle tickets, and to John Antonucci for driving the #1 Cochran “victory bus” for any of the thousands of walkers who couldn’t quite finish.
