Hit the Slopes with the Nissan Rogue Warrior
Part of Nissan’s “Conquer All Conditions” lineup including the Murano, Pathfinder, and JUKE, the car manufacturer recently unveiled the head-turning Rogue Warrior at the 2016 Montreal International Auto Show, showcasing the AWD Rogue’s capabilities in deep snow and unruly winter conditions. Equipped with a full snow track system, Nissan’s Rogue Warrior is ready for anything Jack Frost has in store.
The Rogue Warrior’s heavy-duty snow tracks measure 30″ in height, 48″ in length, and 15″ wide, delivering superior grip and traction in even the worst winter driving situations. Nissan’s bestselling AWD crossover was modified by Motorsports in Action, using a Dominator track system from American Track Truck. In addition to the tracks, the Rogue Warrior received some adjustments to its suspension and body to make room for the snow tracks.
“Nissan has a well-rounded suite of all-wheel drive crossover vehicles to master the toughest winter roads. In fact, Nissan’s all-wheel drive (AWD) system adapts to road conditions 30 times faster than the blink of an eye,” says Joni Paiva, president of Nissan Canada Inc. “The Rogue Warrior symbolizes the essence of our popular crossover and sport utility vehicle family, while also reminding show goers what Nissan is all about – being bold, pushing the limits, and exciting capability that’s anchored in quality.”
It seems as though Nissan’s advanced Xtronic transmission was built to be on tracks, as the Warrior is always in the right gear at the right time. The high-tech system masterfully communicates current driving conditions to the Xtronic Control Unit, allowing the vehicle to select the transmission pattern most suitable for the terrain. The Rogue Warrior makes easy work out of snowy conditions, scaling a 45 degree grade in groomed snow at speeds over 60 mph. “As a karting and now spec series champion, I’m building a career based on my love of fast cars and motorsport competition. I can honestly say I never expected to have so much fun behind the wheel of a crossover! The Rogue Warrior is an awesome beast of a machine – driving it makes you feel like you can conquer any challenge that comes in your path.” – 2015 Micra Cub champion, Olivier Bédard
