#1 Cochran Volkswagen of South Hills Opens “White Frame” Showroom
We celebrated the grand opening of our brand new Volkswagen showroom in Pittsburgh’s South Hills the only way we know how; by throwing a big German-themed party! A Volkswagen “Open Haus” was held last Thursday, June 20th, and more than 80 guests were in attendance ranging from Volkswagen executives and local Dormont business owners / community leaders to Volkswagen enthusiasts and our loyal VW customers.
Our South Hills Volkswagen dealership has operated from a temporary facility one block from the new Volkswagen showroom since November 2010 and our team members are excited for the opportunity to work out of a state-of-the-art facility. The new “White Frame” showroom design is Brauhaus-inspired and is fit with innovations such as free WiFi, flat screen TVs, and other amenities to ensure our valued customers have the best overall experience whether they’re buying a new Volkswagen or taking their car in for service. It’s the only official “White Frame” Volkswagen showroom in the region.
We continue to lead the Pittsburgh Volkswagen market. In addition to the new Volkswagen showroom in the South Hills, we’ve also opened a new Volkswagen dealership in the North Hills after acquiring Billco Volkswagen in Wexford.
“Nearly three years ago, Volkswagen approached us to represent their iconic brand here in Dormont,” said Mr. Cochran. “We were honored and humbled to become a Volkswagen dealer and are passionate about serving Volkswagen customers. This bright, white, state-of-the-art showroom will enable us to meet the needs of VW buyers and owners like never before.”
Frank Trivieri, Vice President of Sales for Volkswagen of America (VOA) presented a commemorative plaque to Rob Cochran, our President and CEO, jokingly saying he would be happy to discuss a third, fourth, or fifth Volkswagen dealership with #1 Cochran at any time.
Emceeing the evening was none other than Paul Steigerwald, the “voice of the Pittsburgh Penguins” from ROOT Sports Pittsburgh. Highlights also included giveaways and games from the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Bucco Brigade, an appearance by the Pirate Parrot, and grand prize drawings for field passes to Pirates’ batting practice and a limo dinner for two at Hofbrauhaus Pittsburgh. Volkswagen enthusiasts were challenged by the VW trivia contest, took photos of the custom built 1966 Volkswagen Beetle on display, and received tips from the only Volkswagen master technician in Pittsburgh.
“This is a great time to be a Volkswagen dealer and a Volkswagen customer,” noted Mr. Cochran. “With our new showroom in the South and a new dealership in the North, we look forward to serving Volkswagen lovers with our unmatched brand of customer care.”
